Stain Guide
Reacting before a stain sets can be key to its removal. Dab stain gently with a white cloth. Proceed from the border of the stain towards the center. Rinse.
Where possible, these specific stains may be removed using the following methods:
Ball Point Pen: | Use warm water and mild detergent. |
Blood: | Use carbonated water followed by cold water and mild detergent. |
Calcium: | Dab with a warm, damp cloth without soaking garment. Blot dry with a towel. |
Coffee: | Use water and mild detergent followed by carbonated water or vinegar. |
Chocolate: | Use water and mild detergent followed by carbonated water or vinegar. |
Fruit juice: | Use water with a mild detergent. |
Gravy, sauces or grease: | Dab with a cloth. If required, repeat with warm water and detergent. |
Lipstick: | Dab with a cloth using warm water. |
Nail Polish: | Use non-oily nail polish remover. |
Soft drinks: | Use water with a mild detergent. |
Tea: | Use water and mild detergent followed by carbonated water or vinegar. |
Wine: | Dab with a cloth. Salt may help remove a red wine stain. Rinse with cold water. |
